Terms of service

What SnapYard is
SnapYard is a marketplace that connects buyers with salvage yards and sellers of used auto parts in Ontario. We list parts and pass along contact information — we don't own, inspect, ship, or warranty the parts. Every sale is between the buyer and the seller.
If you sell on SnapYard
- You must have the right to sell what you list.
- You're responsible for your listings being accurate — including AI-drafted ones. The AI writes a draft; you review and publish it, so it's your listing.
- Price, condition, returns, and any warranty are between you and your buyer.
- Keep your contact info current (Settings) — buyers call the number on your listings.
If you buy on SnapYard
- Used parts are sold as-is unless the seller says otherwise. Verify fitment, condition, and price with the seller before you buy — fitment ranges and price suggestions on listings are estimates, not guarantees.
- Installation requests share your contact info with a local repair shop; any work you book is between you and that shop.
Featured placement
Featured placement is paid promotion: your listings sort higher and carry a badge. It doesn't guarantee sales or calls, and it can be cancelled anytime.
Fair use
No false or misleading listings, no listing things you can't sell, no scraping or abusing the service, no spam. We can remove listings or accounts that break these rules.
Liability
SnapYard is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, we're not liable for the parts, transactions, or installations arranged through the site; our total liability is limited to the fees you've paid us (if any). Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited under applicable consumer law.
The small print
We may update these terms — the date above changes when we do, and continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Questions: hello@snapyard.ca. See also our privacy policy.
