What we collect
- Yard accounts: email, password (stored hashed, never readable), yard/shop name, phone number, and city. The yard name, phone, and city appear publicly on your listings — that's the point of them.
- Listings: the photos, part details, prices, and donor-vehicle info (including VINs) you publish. Listings are public.
- Installation and featured-placement requests: the name, phone number, and ZIP/postal code you submit so a shop or our team can contact you.
- Basic technical logs (like requests and errors) needed to run and protect the service.
How we use it
- To run the marketplace: show listings to buyers, connect buyers with yards, and route installation requests to repair shops.
- Photos you submit are processed by our AI provider solely to generate the listing draft or identify the part you searched for.
- To send transactional email only — password resets and service notifications. No marketing blasts.
- We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't use third-party ad tracking.
Where it lives
Data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. The mobile apps load this same website — they store no extra data on your device beyond a normal login session.
Your choices
- Yards can edit, mark sold, or delete their own listings anytime from their dashboard.
- To delete your account and its data, or to ask anything about your data, email hello@snapyard.ca — we'll act on it promptly.
